As a longtime CHADD volunteer, Gina Pera leads ADHD discussion groups for CHADD Silicon Valley and an 1,000-member international online group for partners of adults with ADHD, through CHADD of Northern California. She is a 2007 National Volunteer of the Year.

She encourages everyone to consider the joys that come with volunteering to serve the ADHD community. There is plenty of work to be done!

As an Adult ADHD expert, Gina Pera is the author of the prize-winning comprehensive guide for adults with ADHD and their partners: Is It You, Me, or Adult A.D.D.?

Her new book is the first evidence-based professional guide for couple therapists treating ADHD-challenged couples (Routledge, 2016). And, she contributed the first chapter on couple therapy to Dr. Russell Barkley's "gold standard" clinical guide.

For the past decade, she has written and lectured internationally about Adult ADHD while also advocating for better awareness and treatment standards.

Gina Pera's previous journalistic work for USA WEEKEND magazine won the Unity Award in Media, which recognizes accurate exposure of issues affecting minorities and people with disabilities.
